FR60 FR60_pink Were you one of the lucky ones who got a Garmin fitness device this Christmas? Maybe you scored an FR60 fitness watch like my friend Amy. She’s had her eye on that sleek little number since they hit stores. So when a loved one surprised her with an early Christmas gift, she was ready to hit the ground running. Which is exactly what we did one day this week when Amy was in town. She was sporting the lovely lilac FR60; I had the limited-edition pink FR60. Another friend, Meagan, who’s training for her first Ironman, gifted herself with the Forerunner 310XT. She knew she’d need the best of the best to track the many miles and hours of training she’s about to undertake.

310XT, side 310XT 003 When Meagan found out about the accessory options for the 310XT, she simply said “I want ‘em all.” A speed/cadence sensor will allow Meagan to monitor her pedaling RPMs to optimize her cycling and save some leg strength — pretty important data when you’ve got 112 miles ahead of you … followed by 26.2 miles on foot. Another accessory she’ll be adding to her 310XT is the quick-release mounting kit, so she can swap the unit from bike to wrist in seconds. If you found a Forerunner, FR60 or Edge cycling computer in your stocking and need some trimmings to go with it, visit our online store. Peg’s pick for spring training: the black Team Garmin jerseys.
