TeleNav Wins Best of Mobile Internet World Innovation 2008 Award

BOSTON and SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Oct. 22, 2008 - xchange magazine announced Tuesday that TeleNav has been selected to receive the Mobile Internet World Innovation 2008 Award for TeleNav GPS Navigator™ in the Most Innovative Consumer Mobile Internet Application category. TeleNav GPS Navigator was also recognized as the runner-up for the Most Innovative Consumer Mobile Internet Deployment. Additionally, TeleNav’s TeleNav Track™ service was awarded runner-up status for the Most Innovative Enterprise Mobile Internet Deployment because of its implementation with the City of New York. The annual awards recognize leaders in the development and deployment of mobile Internet technology. Nominations were open to all providers and vendors of mobile Internet technology and selected by a judging panel of experts from the mobile Internet industry. TeleNav received the awards on Oct. 21 at a ceremony following the close of the Mobile Internet World expo floor. Eliot Weinman, president of Yankee Group, along with Tara Seals, associate editor of xchange, presented awards to TeleNav and recipients in three other categories.
