from TeleNav Press Releases
SUNNYVALE, Calif. and SALT LAKE CITY – August 11, 2008 – TeleNav, Inc. today announced that
C.R. England, a family-owned refrigerated transportation business, has increased customer satisfaction to 99 percent and attracted $1.8 million in new annual revenues through its deployment of
TeleNav Track™, a GPS-enabled Mobile Resource Management (MRM) service.
C.R. England is a top trucking company that delivers goods for DHL, Wal-Mart and other large retailers throughout the United States and Mexico. Since its founding in 1920 as a one-truck operation, the enterprise has become an industry leader in providing temperature-controlled truckload, brokerage, intermodal and container services. Recently, the company evaluated the way it tracked its delivery fleet and managed loads. The company discovered many inaccuracies and unacceptable delays in how the information was collected and transmitted to management. C.R. England determined it also needed a way to show drivers’ compliance with federal driving regulations. After a review of mobile resource management providers, the company chose to implement TeleNav Track on its 80 AT&T BlackBerry® smartphones.
Service is a key element of success in the transportation industry and C.R. England saw immediate improvements with TeleNav Track. The solution allows management to monitor drivers’ locations and travel activity to provide accurate information to clients. As a result of using TeleNav Track, the quality of the company’s customer service greatly improved and the company has nearly reached its goal of 100 percent customer satisfaction. With a 99 percent customer satisfaction rate, C.R. England’s monthly revenues have increased by approximately $150,000 due to new and expanded business contracts. In addition, the company has enhanced other aspects of its business, including clearer customer communication, a boost in staff morale and an increased focus on innovative and creative ways to improve services.
“The people and service team at TeleNav have been some of the best I have ever dealt with,” said Tom Slaughter, senior operations manager at C.R. England. “I have been here close to 17 years and I have never seen such commitment to a customer as I have with TeleNav. The countless hours of groundwork and the time devoted to our staff were incredible. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish in the next 17 years with TeleNav Track on our team.”
C.R. England has TeleNav Track installed on 80 AT&T BlackBerry smartphones within its England Dedicated division, which includes drivers on dedicated routes. The company plans to expand the program to other accounts in this division in the future.
“Larger companies may not realize just how much a GPS tracking and navigation solution can benefit customer service, business goals and their bottom line,” said Sal Dhanani, co-founder and senior director of marketing at TeleNav. “TeleNav Track makes it easy for operations and management to access essential information about mobile resources. With the data easily accessible, businesses can quickly improve processes and cut back on expenses.”
TeleNav Track enables organizations to optimize mobile workforce operations through mobile GPS tracking and navigation, wireless timesheets, job dispatching and wireless forms – all using existing GPS-enabled cell phones. Currently, more than 8,000 organizations rely on TeleNav Track to help manage their mobile resources.
